Step 1: Determining your eligibility
Before applying for a Child Student Visa, ensure your child meets the eligibility criteria. This visa is designed for children aged between 4 and 17 who intend to study at an independent school in the UK.
Step 2: Applying to a school and securing your child’s course offer
You will need to help your child apply to a school as they must have an unconditional offer from a licensed UK independent school before applying for a visa. You would have to ensure that all school fees are paid.

You’ll need to gather essential documents such as a valid passport, CAS letter, parental consent etc.
Next would be to visit the UK government's visa application website and complete the online form. Upload your documents, provide biometrics data, and pay the application fee. You would need to schedule a biometric appointment at your local visa application center.

Step 4: Confirming your child's visa decision and getting your BRP
Await a decision on your child’s visa application. Upon approval, your child will receive a vignette sticker in their passport, which allows entry to the UK. Check the dates and conditions on the vignette.
Once in the UK, you must collect your child’s Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) from a designated post office within 10 days of arrival.
