Hosted by two fellow PGRs (Queenie, Nigerian and Rodas, British, both from the School of Government, IDD), this is the first of many gatherings aimed at fostering a strong multidisciplinary and inclusive Black PGR community.
Join us for an evening of connection, community, and conversation at the Black PGR Mixer & Networking Event! This gathering is an opportunity for Black postgraduate researchers to come together, share experiences, and build meaningful networks in a supportive and welcoming space.
Whether you're looking to expand your academic circle, find inspiration, or simply unwind with fellow PGRs, this event is designed to foster community, collaboration, and encouragement. Come ready to engage in insightful discussions, meet like-minded peers, and enjoy refreshments in a relaxed atmosphere. Who Can Attend? This event is open to postgraduate researchers who self-identify as Black from all disciplines at the University, including but not limited to those of African, Caribbean, Afro-Latinx, and Black mixed-heritage backgrounds. We recognise the diversity within Black identities and aim to create a welcoming and inclusive space for all who connect with this experience.

Registration will close 15 minutes before the event start time or when tickets are sold out. We will be checking attendees against the Eventbrite registration, and you may be refused entry if we have met capacity and you are not on the list. We have limited capacity, so please cancel your ticket if you can no longer attend.
