At British Sugar, finance is at the heart of everything we do. Through our sugar manufacturing process, we support key decision-making across a number of core and by-products.
As a Finance Graduate, you’ll be a business partner to our Commercial and Agricultural functions that support the production and sale of over a million tonnes of sugar each year.
What you will be doing
- Gain experience in key accounting activities – e.g. Periodic reporting / Forecasting
- Support business decisions through analytical analysis
- Support automation and continual improvement
- Ensuring financial controls are in place and adhered to
- Support the external view of the market & grower insight
What you will need
- A minimum 2:1 (or predicted) degree
- Ability to question, challenge and diagnose issues
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Clear communication and teamwork skills — able to collaborate and share ideas effectively
- Passion for continued learning and development
- Willing and able to work in Peterborough or relocate to one of the following manufacturing sites: Wissington, Bury St Edmunds, Cantley, or Newark, during or after the programme (dependent on role availability).
