Job description
Do you have a keen attention to detail and the ability to simplify the complex?
Are you a confident communicator who’s comfortable challenging and influencing at all levels?
Can you balance competing demands whilst building strong, positive relationships across Lloyds Banking Group?
If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
About this opportunity:
As Executive Assistant, you’ll gain first-hand insight into our digital customer strategy, commercial performance, and wider IP&I strategy. You’ll provide direct support and counsel to the Chief Customer and Digital Officer and lead the management of her office.
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordination of the Executive Office to enable planning and delivery of the digital strategy and Platform goals - ensuring priorities are aligned, well-structured and implemented with pace and ensuring meetings, communications and team operations run smoothly and with purpose.
- Providing strategic challenge and insight to help shape decisions, prepare ExCo and Board materials, and keep the Director informed on emerging issues, always maintaining an end-to-end commercial lens.
- Leading the preparation and coordination of papers for the Insurance Board, Insurance Performance Committee, and other IP&I Committees, ensuring papers are impactful, engaging, and working across teams for contribution and managing actions on behalf of the team.
- Acting as a trusted advisor and operational anchor for both the Director and the wider team, screening and triaging priorities for the Director, managing partner relationships across the Group, and supporting everyone to navigate a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Strategic Risk Alignment: Ensure that strategy development and initiative planning within the CCDO are aligned with the Group's risk appetite. Where deviations exist, proactively identify and support the implementation of appropriate mitigations
- Using data and research, undertake specific analysis on a wide range of subjects with appropriately based recommendations for Maria’s consideration.
- Develop strong working relationships with the CCDO Senior Leadership Team, their respective leadership teams, and other relevant EAs across IP&I and the wider bank to deliver our business goals.
- Incident Response Coordination, coordinate CCDO responses to any potential divisional or Group-level material events, ensuring alignment with control standards and timely communication with key partners
- Oversight of the internal and external comms, ensuring alignment with the director's strategic vision and brand.
What you'll need…
- Have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to simplify the complex.
- Have a keen attention to accuracy and are able to produce high-quality work.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, bringing energy, sound judgement, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while balancing shifting priorities in often tight deadlines.
- Build trusted relationships and influence with authenticity, using strong communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Think strategically and analytically, applying insight and curiosity to shape decisions and create a joined-up narrative.
- Comfortable adapting to short-notice requests or changes to plans.
- Are resilient and can handle ambiguity, and can balance changing priorities with strong organisation skills to track timely and accurate delivery of requested papers and information
- Believe in ‘we’ more than ‘I’. An EA helps others to deliver more than directly delivering themselves
- Have an understanding of the IP&I business or previous experience working in an executive office.
We’re disability confident. So, if you’d like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.
Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our core locations. You'll need to be willing to travel to different IP&I hubs where necessary.
If you have further questions about the role that aren’t answered above, please get in touch with Matthew Williams.
