We have an exciting new opportunity for a Lead Salesforce Developer. You'll be working with our agile delivery teams, leading the development and support of our new Salesforce-powered customer platform using the Service, Sales, Health and Marketing cloud.

At AXA, we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you'll be doing:

  • Driving the design, development and support of our strategic customer platform, employing best practices in architecture, design, development and deployment
  • Working within an agile team, adhering to Scrum or Kanban principles
  • Focusing on automation and code quality, working with automated release pipelines and automated test packs to ensure a highly efficient and quality product is shipped to our users
  • Acting as a coach and mentor for junior members of our development teams
  • Promoting continuous improvement both within specific technology areas and across the IT department

What you’ll bring:

  • Certified Salesforce Platform Developer 1
  • Solid understanding of and detailed experience with Salesforce architecture, writing maintainable code, secure coding and configuration practices within Salesforce
  • Experienced writing well-documented code in Apex, Triggers, Lightning and Lightning Web Components
  • Experience using Omnistudio and business rules engine components is highly desirable
  • Prior experience in configuration and process automation, such as Flows and Process Builder
  • Proven experience Integrating Salesforce with other applications via real-time, batch, sync/async
  • Operating knowledge of the complete Software Development Lifecycle, including Release Management Testing and Deployment
  • SFDX for development and automation, GIT version control
  • Experience using Salesforce Data Tools such as Data Loader and Import Wizard
  • An innovative approach to problem-solving and leading a team through change
  • Knowledge of current industry trends and evidence of self-learning is a highly valued asset
