Reporting to the VP of Communications, you'll be supporting the execution of a corporate communications strategy that brings together everything from events and awards to milestone announcements, executive profiling, interviews and financial results. You’ll be an ambassador for communicating brilliantly and for obsessing about our customers and our mission. You’ll be hands-on and part of a press office that manages a range of topics and issues. You'll be an excellent communicator who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and someone who has solid experience managing media.

  • Work with the teams across the business and our agency to prepare for events, executive profiling and interviews
  • Support execution of the communications strategy around financial results and corporate milestones
  • Manage reactive press stories
  • Monitor, track and proactively analyse Monzo’s presence in the media
  • Mine stories from across the business that support our communications goals
  • Be an excellent team player and problem solver within a busy corporate press office
  • Work cross-functionally with teams and stakeholders across the business to create compelling narratives and key messages across reactive and proactive projects.
  • Pitch great stories to journalists
  • Build and maintain great relationships across key media and the business, spotting risks and opportunities that inform our agenda.
  • Stay on top of emerging sector themes, trends and new.s

This is for you if you are:

  • A communications professional who has experience working as part of a busy press office, be that in-house or at an agency
  • Excellent at media relations
  • A hands-on team player who can flex across reactive and proactive work
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent at communicating with the ability to manage senior stakeholders
  • Passionate about Monzo's mission and committed to delivering exceptional results
  • A networker who can collaborate across different teams at every level and has a keen interest in building your network outside of Monzo
  • A great storyteller with exceptional writing skills
  • Great at problem-solving and issues management
  • Obsessed with data - both in the mining of it for proactive work and the tracking of our KPIs
  • A forward-thinker and a keen learner who is always on the lookout for trends, themes, and stories that advance Monzo’s mission
