(Hybrid) Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office and home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.

This role requires 3 days working onsite a week and will require night shift working as required by business demand.

 

Job Overview

The role holder will work as part of the Occupational Health & Wellbeing (OH&W) Wellbeing team, liasing closely where necessary with other parts of the OH&W and wider stakeholder groups to contribute to delivery of TfL's Wellbeing plan.

This role combines conducting  Health and Wellbeing checks and planning and delivering health and wellbeing interventions (e.g. education, health promotion, raising awareness of wellbeing services).   

They will be responsible for stakeholder communication and engagement with wellbeing services, development and maintenance of relevant processes, allowing efficient delivery of wellbeing services.

 

Key Accountabilities

·     Efficiently coordinate and conduct comprehensive health and wellbeing (H&W) checks in accordance with clinical protocols by effectively utilising resources and coordinating with other health professionals and administrative support.

This includes (i) understanding and interpreting physical and mental health markers, (ii) explaining clinical results and risk factors in an impactful yet sensitive way, (iii) providing expert knowledge on effective and scientifically evidenced ways to improve health, (iv) providing detailed health result reports to guide individuals in improving their health and lifestyle, (v) following clinical procedures and using clinical judgment when referring to other health services.

·     Establish and maintain processes to monitor the progress of well-being services and interventions (including H&W checks) by developing and maintaining relevant documents (e.g. utilisation, results trackers, stakeholder engagement plans, FAQ guides) and analysing feedback and data for continuous improvement of the services

·      Accurately record H&W checks data and look for patterns and trends, allowing the identification of key wellbeing risks

·      Identify and engage with relevant stakeholders to promote H&W services, e.g. organise meetings, communicate requirements, identify potential risks, seek feedback to improve the service

·     Participating in designing, delivering and evaluating targeted health promotion programmes and implementation of the Wellbeing Plan in accordance with clinical protocols, health data, and best research evidence, and adapting strategies based on complex health issues and changing needs, as directed by the Wellbeing Lead

·     Responsible for ensuring continued equipment calibration: stock level checking equipment checking, and fault reporting to ensure resources are maintained and in good working order

·     Participate in training of new team members by offering coaching and shadowing opportunities to support efficient onboarding and consistent quality of the well-being service provision

·     Participate in a clinical audit to ensure the best quality guidance is given to colleagues at TfL and feedback and learning are implemented to improve own performance and overall well-being service

 

Knowledge

·         Educated to a degree level in Nutrition, Health Promotion, Public Health, Sports Science or equivalent knowledge and experience (E)

·         Knowledge of data collection techniques and procedures (E)

·         Knowledge of health legislation, safety standards, and ethical guidelines in health and wellbeing provision (E)

·         Knowledge of Workplace Health and Wellbeing (D)
