Cyber Security Analyst

FCA

The Senior Associate Analyst sits within the Cyber Security Group and is focused on operating enterprise security services for the organisation. The Cyber Security Analyst will have expertise within a given domain and will be the subject matter expert (SME) / point of contact for that work.

What you will be doing (the role)

  • Involvement in Security incidents and ensuring outcomes align with business priorities and policy
  • Provide BAU Security Operations support to business processes to ensure access and change are aligned with FCA guidelines and processes.
  • Supporting the security BAU operations, IGA, PKI & PAM

  • Incident Investigations and Remediation - Examination of security incidents to uncover their root causes, followed by the development and application of effective strategies to eliminate vulnerabilities and prevent future occurrences

The skills and experience you will have  

Minimum

We are a signatory to the Government’s Disability Confident scheme. This means that we will offer an interview to disabled candidates entering under the scheme, should they meet the minimum criteria for a role.  

  • Security Incident Management Experience – Coordinating incidents from start to finish
  • Familiar with NIST Cybersecurity Framework - Proficiency in all stages of the incident lifecycle, including preparation, detection, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident activities
  • Network and Systems Security- Familiarity with network protocols, systems, data, cloud, and endpoint security

Essential

  • Familiar with Security Incident Response and Handling
  • Stakeholder Management: Capability to work with different teams and manage expectations during and after an incident

  • Vulnerability Management
