Circle is building the world’s leading all-in-one platform for online communities. We make it possible for creators, coaches, educators, and businesses to bring together their audience with engaging discussions, live streams, events, chat, courses, and payments — all in one place, all under their own brand.
We’re proud to be a fully remote company of around 170 (and growing!) team members from 30+ countries around the world. We seek exceptional individuals around the world, set them up to do the best work of their lives, and, in turn, create a meaningful impact in their own lives. We don't track hours, but we do manage high expectations very closely. We collaborate across time zones, are highly async, and like to document a lot.
Twice a year, we bring the whole company together in beautiful places around the world for our company offsites. So far, we’ve hosted offsites in Turkey, Portugal, Mexico, Thailand, Colombia, Italy, Ireland, and more, with still more to come!
About the role
We're growing in 2025, and looking to expand our Sales Development Representative (SDR) team. You will play a key role in our Sales & Marketing org, helping our customers navigate the buying process.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be primarily responsible for managing the inbound pipeline of leads (we get a lot!), conducting group demos twice a week, and assisting the AE team with closing deals. Your hands-on feedback will be essential for the marketing and product teams as we refine our lead-scoring model and trial experience.
This is a remote role, but we have a strong preference for candidates in AMER time zones (North or South America).
What you'll be doing
- Engaging prospective customers who have engaged with Circle to help them become wildly successful with our platform. Sometimes, that means having them meet with one of our Account Executives.
- Working with Account Executives to help close deals; this could include following up via email, hopping on Zoom calls, and picking up the phone.
- Conduct group demos twice a week for large numbers of prospects, following through to get them in touch with the best teams and resources they need to become customers.
- Providing feedback to the Sales Manager to refine and improve the engagement process. This will involve email copywriting, sequence/cadence creation, chat bot journeys. You may be engaging with our customers over email, phone, chat or in a virtual meeting.
- Lead and have a vision for the team's culture. You will have a say in hiring future SDRs as the team continues to grow.
What you'll need to be successful
- At least 2 years experience working in a professional sales role.
- 1-2 years experience as an SDR at a software company. High volume inbound experience preferred.
- Experience working with a CRM tool —Hubspot is highly preferred. Bonus points if you’re familiar with Zendesk.
- Strong alignment with our values. Find our values on our career page if you haven’t read up on them yet.
- You are proficient in English (spoken, written, and reading) at a CEFR Level C2 / ILR Level 5.
- You enjoy delving into the unknown, reading, networking, and researching to uncover the path forward.
- You thrive with autonomy and are self-motivated. We’re a fully remote team. We take care of each other and like having fun, but we’ll never be in an office together— it’s important that you’re able to take action on your own.
- You’re analytical in nature. You enjoy measuring your actions with data and testing to see which approach is working based on what the data is telling you.
- You’re curious, creative, and resourceful. You’re not satisfied with surface level anything, and you live outside the box.
- Your first instinct isn’t to do what everyone else is doing.
- You’re an excellent storyteller; you understand how narrative and emotion impact decision-making.
You applied here but also took the initiative to creatively engage the Sales Manager through various channels to book a meeting and start the interview process. Seriously...
Bonus points: You’re a creator. You’ve built something of your own that you’re proud of.
$70,000 USD per year OTE.
This role includes variable income. Base: $55,000/year + expected variable: $15,000/year = OTE: $70,000 USD/year.
