Our Team
The physical security team are the beating heart of the VM property estate. We manage the running of all our assets and ensure a good staff and customer journey alike while keeping everyone safe. We are the “go to” resource to ensure a safe and efficient security environment. We strive to deliver a straight up service and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing
- Ensuring that all company Security Policies and Minimum Standards are applied across the organisation.
- Management of the Group Command Centre and 3rd party-provided staff operatives.
- Providing support to the Store Network, overseeing continuous security standards.
- Ensuring that fault reporting and maintenance programmes are tracked to a conclusion.
- Management of on-site security at group-owned assets, including Data Centres.
- Daily management of all incidents relating to the Command Centre activities.
- Liaising with 3rd party Electronic Security, Locksmiths, & Keyholding service partners.
- Producing weekly & monthly management information.
- Assisting with the management of KPI’s and controls in relation to the business unit established risks relative to the security function.
We need you to have
- Substantial experience working in a senior physical security role.
- Experience working in a Control room/Command Centre environment.
- Understanding of security systems including Intruder Alarms, CCTV & Access Control systems.
- Good verbal & written communication skills.
- Great leadership skills.
- Experience working in a risk-controlled environment.
- Experience in triaging a response to physical security breaches.
It’s a bonus if you have, but it's not essential.
- Experience working in the security environment of a Financial Institution.
- Previous people managing experience.
- Experience working in a Data Centre environment.
