Position: National IT Analyst, Start-Date: As soon as possible, Role Specification: BI & Reporting Analyst

A role in the NIT Business Intelligence & Reporting (BI&R) Team is a fantastic opportunity to work in a providing the business data to drive the business forward. You'll work in a team that has access to end-to-end business data whilst also working with new technologies and data sources. As part of a functional Business Intelligence team (BI), you will form close relationships with Business Partners, Data Scientists and Data Visualisers to deliver data driven solutions to the business. 

We are looking for someone to come into supplement the existing BI & R team in delivering significant data and reporting solutions to the business.

Reporting to the NIT BI & R Manager, the candidate will be required to collaborate with various business departments and have good communication and organisational skills focusing on the ability to translate technical terminology to non-technical users. The position requires strong logical and analytic skills with a focus on attention to detail through working with diverse data sources and the ability to work in a fast-paced but environment demanding adaptability to changing prioritised requirements.

Your New Role

  • Project Management of BI demands and initiatives 
  • Provide timely and efficient data integration, including transformation, cleansing and preparation
  • Complete Data Engineering end-to-end ownership of demand delivery 
  • Ensuring demands within area of responsibility are delivered on time to agreed scope 
  • Development output is documented and maintained in national/international report catalogue

About You

  • SAP BW and SAP data sources
  • Responsible for creating and managing ETL processes (monitoring, review and amending timelines) 
  • Excellent knowledge of building/maintaining physical and logical data models 
  • Data analysis and troubleshooting
  • Experience of interpreting business requirements into technical solutions
  • Can take significant responsibility with a pragmatic, goal-oriented approach
  • Be self-motivated, adaptable, and can build collaborative relationships at all levels
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Experience of stakeholder management and communication (internal & external)
  • SAP Data Structures 
  • Knowledge of Data Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) techniques
  • Experience with SQL scripting, Data Modelling and Alteryx
