Digital Product Owner

Our Personal Banking Commercial Team are on the lookout for a Digital Product Owner responsible for delivering our digital objectives and ensuring the best digital customer experience in our mobile and Internet banking services. What you'll be doing

  • The successful delivery of new / enhanced digital capability in the PCA mobile app and internet banking service. This is all about providing our customers with the best digital customer experience possible at all times and increasing the number of customers who apply for a new PCA digitally, digitally engage and stay in channel.
  • Prioritising and delivering the digital backlog for your squad and customer journeys. You may work in your own squad or support other projects across the bank that impact digital customer experience.
  • Delivering tangible, prioritised outcomes that meet customer and business objectives and ensuring the desired value and benefits are realised from all deliverables. Things like portfolio growth and diversification, call reduction, cost savings, and ensuring our digital banking platform is secure, stable, and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Data and insight driven decision making, You’ll use analytics, customer feedback, user testing and market / industry knowledge to deliver digital servicing capability that will truly make customers happier about money.
  • Working very closely with design and technology colleagues. You’ll need to challenge the status quo and push boundaries to drive the best possible customer outcome in the time available.
  • Managing a virtual network of SMEs and business stakeholders. For example, you’ll work with colleagues from marketing, risk, financial, legal, operations, channels, etc., to ensure the prioritised outcomes meet all brand, regulatory, customer and business needs.
  • And last, and mostly importantly, you’ll be a truly passionate evangelist for Personal digital – delivering the vision and outcomes associated with that.

We need you to have 

  • Experience working as a Product Owner in an Agile squad with an in-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, techniques and ceremonies.
  • A great understanding of our digital services, both at a customer and technical level.
  • A strong customer focus and a proven track record of delivering customer-centric digital solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder interaction and communication will be key to success in the role, so you'll need to be experienced in influencing stakeholders and communicating changes throughout the organisation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tell a compelling story, persuade, influence and communicate complex messages clearly to all levels across the organisation.
  • Insatiable curiosity with a desire to challenge the status quo, think outside the box and make Smart Disruption a reality.

If you're successful in securing a role with us, there are some checks you need to complete before starting. If the role is part of the Senior Manager Regime and Certification Regime, it requires enhanced pre-employment checks – we'll ask for six years of regulatory references, and once in the role, you'll be subject to periodic employment checks.
